Day1: Tirana airport – Kruje

Arrival in Tirana International Airport. Meeting with our English speaking local guide and transfer to the city of Kruje. Check in at the hotel.
After check in, free time to spend at the Ottoman bazaar.
Optional: Dinner at Panorama venue where you can enjoy our local cuisine.
Accommodation and overnight in Kruje.

Day2: Kruje – Apollonia – Vlore

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, we start our walking tour of Kruje, through the narrow streets of the medieval well preserved Old Bazaar. Once inside the city walls you will visit the fortress and the Museum of George Kastriot Skanderbeg, the Albanian National Hero.
After the tour we continue our trip towards the city of Fier with a stop during the way to visit Ardenica and enjoy lunch in one of the local restaurants with traditional Albanian dishes. After lunch we drive through the ancient settlement of Apollonia. Founded in 585 BC, this site was dedicated to Apollo. The city achieved fame and wealth and Apollonia was incorporated into the Roman Empire to become Caesar’s stronghold during the civil war with Pompey. The most impressive feature of the site is the Bouleterion, a facade with six Corinthian columns which probably dates from the 2nd century AD.  The walking tour also includes the library, the Odeon, the Portico, the house with mosaics, the Archeological museum and the church of St. Mary.
We leave Apollonia and we drive to the city of Vlore. The panoramic city tour includes: the old town, Independence Square and Muradie Mosque.
Check in at the hotel and prepare for dinner. Accommodation and overnight in Vlore.

Day3: Vlore – Llogara – Sarande

After breakfast at the hotel we meet with the group and continue to the city center for a brief walking tour of the Independence Square, the market, museum of history and Muradie mosque. Continuing the journey southward, we drive uphill to the village of Rradhime where we will enjoy the beautiful seaside panorama. We continue our journey to Llogara National Park which is an area of great natural beauty with mountains plunging sharply to the shimmering sea. Possibility for lunch in one of the local restaurants. After lunch, we continue our trip towards the villages of Dhermi, Porto Palermo bay with its long history from the Mediterranean pirates to the stronghold of Ali Pasha. We continue to Himara a charming fish village along the Albanian Riviera for a photo break.
After arriving in Saranda, check in at the hotel. Free afternoon. In the evening you can enjoy walking along the Belvedere of this nice coastal town where you can see the lights of  the beautiful Greek island of Corfu, situated opposite to Saranda.

Day4: Sarande – Butrint – Sarande

After breakfast in the hotel, we drive to Butrinti National Park.
Virgil, the ancient Roman poet wrote of Butrint: “I saw before me a Troy in miniature.” Today, with its ancient Greek theatre, Roman baths and Venetian tower, Butrint is considered one of the ten best ancient ruins that you’ve probably never heard of. The impressive walking tour will guide you through the Asclepius temple, theatre, Roman portico and baths, early Christian baptistery, byzantine basilica, defensive walls and their impressive gates.
Return to hotel and free time to relax.
Optional: Lekuresi Castle – visit and dinner. The castle of Lekursi is situated on the top of a dominant hill over Saranda, only 2 km far from the town. The castle of Lekursi was built during XVI – XV centuries, by Sultan Suleymani in his compaign to conquer Corfu.  From the walls of the castle you can enjoy the panorama of an area of 60 km.

Day5: Sarande – Gjirokaster

After breakfast we depart for Gjirokaster. This UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE since 2005, is a city with unique architecture that has broken all laws of architecture and urban planning, showing the culture and traditions between XIV – XIX centuries. The city is called the stone city and includes dozens of stone houses with roofs that resemble small castles with wooden balconies and wide walls, the cobbled streets and magnificent castle that rises above it.
The highlights of the Old Town include the Castle, its Weapons Museum and breathtaking views, the Bazaar area and the Ethnographic Museum.
After the tour of Gjirokaster, free time for lunch.
Check in at the hotel and overnight in Gjirokaster.

Day6: Gjirokaster – Berat – Durres

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast we drive to Berat city. Situated next to the Osumi River and shadowed by Mount Tomori ( 2416 m), Berat is known for the rare medieval and classical Ottoman architecture. The city was inhabited without interruption since the antiquity until today. The walking tour will lead us toward the castle of Berat which is one of the most beautiful and large monuments of Albania. We will explore the ancient fortress, main gates, towers, orthodox churches, the typical architecture of the dwelling sites bearing 2500 years of heritage and the tour of Onufri Museum, located within St Mary’s church.
After the tour in Berat we depart to Durres city. Upon arrival check in at the hotel and overnight in Durres.

Day7: Durres – Tirane

Breakfast in the hotel.  Durres, otherwise antique Dyrrah, due to its geographic and climatic position took a strategic place on the eastern shores of the Adriatic and in the region of southern Illyria. The tour of the Durres Old Town will include the ruins of the town forum, roman baths, city centre, town hall, Roman Amphitheatre, byzantine walls, Venetian tower and archeological museum with a panoramic display of discoveries and urban planning of this once important city.
After the tour, we will drive toward the city of Tirana. We shall explore the capital city of Albania including some of the historical highlights as the city centre, Skanderbeg Statue, Et’hem Bay Mosque, Clock Tower, Italian buildings of the Governmental Institutions and the ex-communist buildings painted with vibrant colours and the expansion of the city.

Day8: Tirane – Shkoder  – Tirane

After breakfast in the hotel, we will drive to the city of Shkoder. Known for the culture, tradition and natural beauty, this city offers a touristic diversity that is rarely found in any other city with rivers, lakes, lagoons and mountains which make Shkodra an unforgettable place in Albania. Built on a rocky hill overlooking the city, by the rivers of Buna and Drini, you will find the most important monument of Shkoder: The Castle of Rozafa.
Possibility for lunch with traditional dishes of this region.
We head back to Tirana, free afternoon and overnight in Tirana.

Day9: Tirane – airport

After breakfast in the hotel, free time to explore the town or to shop for your favorite souvenirs.
Transfer to the airport and end of our service.
