Day 1: Tirana Airport – Kruje – Shkoder

Arrival in Tirana Airport. Meet with the english speaking guide. We drive to the city of Kruje where you will enjoy a short stroll throughout the Ottoman Bazaar. Once inside the city walls you will visit the fortress and the Museum of George Kastriot Skanderbeg, the Albanian National Hero.
Optional: Lunch at Panorama venue where you can enjoy our local cuisine.
After the tour we continue our trip towards the city of Shkoder. Check in at the hotel. We proceed with a city tour of Shkodra (Skadar) which is an ancient city with a rich history. The tour will give insights of the old characteristic houses where wood and other traditional motifs are used. The leaden Mosque, Catholic Cathedral and a walking tour of Rozafa castle are the main attractions of this city.
Accommodation and overnight in Shkodra.

Day 2: Shkoder – Ulcinj

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we leave for Montenegro. After crossing the border and concluding customs procedures, we arrive in the city of Ulcinj which is one of the oldest settlements across the Adriatic. We will start our walking tour throughout the old bazaar and towards the old city. The old city is located on a hill overlooking the modern town. During our tour you will get to know the history of the city of Ulcinj with the Venetian palace, the church – mosque, the Balshaj tower, the citadel and the museum of local history.
After finishing the tour, we head to Ada Bojana, a largely unspoiled triangular island, flanked on two sides by the Bojana river which is a beautiful natural habitat with various plants and animals.
You can enjoy lunch in one of the fish restaurants in this area.
Return to hotel and free time to relax. Overnight in Ulcinj.

Day 3: Ulcinj – Bajram Curri – Valbone

Breakfast and check out from hotel. We return to Albania and head to Koman Water Dam. There we board the ferry and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Drini river valley, waterfalls, rock formations hanging from above, religious centres and shrines.
Arrival to Fierza and continue to Valbona Valley. Stop in Bajram Curri town for optional lunch at a local restaurant. After Bajram Curri we enter the picturesque Valbona Valley – National Park. The tour offers excellent panoramic landscapes of waterfalls, rich flora and mountain rocky caves.
Traditional dinner with lamb dishes and homemade food. Overnight in Valbona.

Day 4: Valbone – Peje

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Today we cross the border into Kosovo which is the world’s newest country and has been independent only since 2008. Driving through the town of Gjakova, we will stop to visit the “kulla of Junik” which is a traditional mountain house. We leave Gjakova and continue towards Decan. Upon arrival in Decan we will visit the Visoki Decani Monastery, the first cultural monument of the territory of Kosovo to be inscribed in the list of UNESCO World Herritage. The Monastery was estabilished in 1327 by the Serb King Stefan Uros III Decanski and is a superbly showpiece of Orthodox art.
We continue the trip towards Peje monastery Patriarchs. This monastery is the spiritual seat and mausoleum of Serbian archbishops and patriarchs. The guided tour will introduce us to the highlights of the temple of the Holy Apostles, St. Dimitije and St. Nikola churches.
Check in at the hotel and overnight.

Day 5: Peje – Pristina

Breakfast at the hotel. We leave Peja and head towards the capital of Kosovo, Pristina. We start the city tour of Pristina by visiting the National Museum – a UNESCO World Heritage site, Statue of Skanderbeg, The National Theatre, Statue of Mother Teresa, the University area and the colossal “New Born” sign and also the National Public Library.
We continue to Gracanica Monastery for a sightseeing tour. Gracanica Monastery is one of King Milutin’s last monumental endowments. It is situated in the village of Gracanica, 5 Km from Pristina. Gracanica was constructed on the ruins of and older 13th century church of the Theotokos, which was built on the ruins of a 6th century early Christian three-naved basilica.
Return to Pristina, free time to relax. Overnight in Pristina.

Day 6: Pristina – Rahovec – Prizren

After breakfast, we leave the capital to continue to the wine cellar of Rahovec. StoneCastle Winery Rahovec was established in 2006, a successor to NBI Rahovec which dates back to the construction of its cellars in the 1950’s. Here, we will visit a few wine makers and afterwards we will head to the city of Prizren, a town dominated by mosques and monasteries dating to the 14th century.
We will have the chance to enjoy lunch in this beautiful town with traditional food.
Free time to spend the evening. Overnight in Prizren.

Day 7: Prizren – Skopje

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we will start with the tour of the old city of Prizren which includes: the Old Stone Bridge, Sinan Pasha mosque, Prizren League building, Shadervan square, Gazi Mehmet Pasha Hamam and the Fortress.
After finishing the tour we drive through the Forests of Sharr National Park. You can enjoy a walk on the forest and lunch in the stunning panorama.  During lunch you can taste homemade products of this area.
We take the road towards Macedonia and its capital, Skopje.
Check in at the hotel and overnight in Skopje.

Day 8: Skopje – Mavrovo

After breakfast we start the day with the tour of the city of Skopje. During this tour you will experience emotions and memories related to the history and tradition of this ancient city. The tour begins with the Macedonian Survival Museum, the Memorial house of Mother Teresa in Macedonia Square, through the Stone Bridge and Kale fortress.
Free time to enjoy the lunch in the old town ( Kap Han). After lunch we suggest a short tour of the old town and bazaar.
We leave the capital to go to the National Park of Mavrovo. This park offers the highest mountain peaks in Macedonia. These peaks, some of which are Shara, Deshad and Bistra, are topped by the Great Korab Mountain (2,764 meters). They provide magnificent visual landscapes but are also the best skiing terrains on the Balkans.
Overnight in Mavrovo.

Day 9: Mavrovo – Ohrid – St. Naum – Pogradec

Breakfast at the hotel. We drive to Ohrid. The Ohrid lake is over 2400 years old and is an important cultural center. Both the town and the lake were classified as UNESCO World Heritage since 1980.  We will visit the city’s main attractions including the Fortress, St. Sophia church and the church of St. Jovan at Kaneo.
We leave Ohrid and head towards St. Naum Monastery. Set among lush verdure where the River Drim tumbles into the lake, the monastery of St. Naum is a refuge of tranquility at the very southwestern corner of the Macedonian Republic, only 1 kilometer  from the Albanian border.
After concluding customs procedures, we proceed towards the city of Pogradec,  located on the other side of the lake.
Check in and overnight in Pogradec.

Day 10: Pogradec – Tirane

After breakfast in the hotel, we continue our journey towards the capital of Albania, Tirana, but not without a stop at the beautiful village of Lin. We will then continue driving through the valley of Shkumbin, Elbasan town until we reach Tirana. Tirana became capital of Albania in 1920 and is the largest city of Albania.
Check in at the hotel and free time to rest.
In the evening we can enjoy a walk in the “ Bllok” area which was the location of former Communist dictator Enver Hoxha’s villa. During the period of his rule, the area was only reserved for government officials and the general public could not enter.  Now, this is a vibrant area with bars, restaurants and brand shops.
Overnight in Tirana.

Day 11: Tirane – Durres

After breakfast at the hotel and check out, our tour starts from the Main Boulevard at Skenderbeg Square. Here you can visit the National theater, Skanderbeg Statue ( dedicated to our National Hero), Historic Museum, Cultural Palace, Et’hem Bey Mosque, Clock Tower and going through the Boulevard to the Pyramid, built in 1988 as a museum for Enver Hoxha, dictator of the period.
Transfer to the city of Durres. Durres, otherwise antique Dyrrah, due to its geographic and climatic position took a strategic place on the eastern shores of the Adriatic and in the region of southern Illyria. The tour of the Durres Old Town will include the ruins of the town forum, roman baths, city centre, town hall, Roman Amphitheatre, byzantine walls, Venetian tower and archeological museum with a panoramic display of discoveries and urban planning of this once important city.
Optional: Dinner with sea food.
Overnight in Durres.

Day 12: Durres – airport

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer to the airport.
