Day 1: Tirana airport – Tirane

Arrival in Tirana International Airport. Meeting with our English speaking local guide and transfer to the city center. Check in at the hotel.
In the afternoon, we begin our tour of Tirana. We shall explore the capital city of Albania including some of the historical highlights as the city centre, Skanderbeg Statue, Et’hem Bay Mosque, Clock Tower, Italian buildings of the Governmental Institutions and the ex-communist buildings painted with vibrant colours and the expansion of the city.
Overnight in Tirane.

Day 2: Tirane – Pogradec – St. Naum – Mal i Thate(Prespe) – Korce

Breakfast at the hotel. We leave the capital and head towards the South-East of Albania. Arrival in  Pogradec. The city of Pogradec and its surrounding area, as one of the Albanian beauty pearls, provides much to discover. The region dominated by the fantastic Lake, surrounded by fields nestled below picturesque mountains, will be your panorama.  We leave the city and continue towards the village of Tushemisht, where we will cross the border to Macedonia.
Our next stop will be St. Naum, the Monastery. Set among lush verdure where the River Drim tumbles into the lake, the monastery of St. Naum is a refuge of tranquility at the very southwestern corner of the Macedonian Republic, only 1 kilometer  from the Albanian border.
Return to Albania and drive to Mali i Thate ( dry mountain), the mountain which separates Ohrid lake from Prespa lake.  Free time to relax in the beautiful view that this mountain offers and then we head to the city of Korce where we will spend the night.

Day 3: Korce

Breakfast at the hotel. Korce has a well-preserved historical center with cobblestone streets and many surviving villas that were built in the early 20th century. From 1916 – 1920, the town was under French control and eventually it was declared an autonomous region with French support.
The continental influence resulted in the construction of neoclassical villas, two famous cinemas and a tradition of photography and art appreciation. Korce was known at one point as the “Paris of Albania”.
Optional: Dinner with traditional food and songs (serenades).
Overnight in Korce.

Day 4: Korce – Permet – Gjirokaster

Breakfast at the hotel. We leave Korce and head towards the city of Permet. Permet is a unique destination in Albania that should definitely be visited. Known as the “city of roses”, Permet is covered with a flower decor, with ideal mountain climate, with cold water resources, forests and rivers. We will visit the gorge of Kelcyra, thermal waters in Benje, the Church of Leuses, the Church of Kosina, the Castle of Kelcyra, etc.
Free time for lunch. After lunch we head to the city of Gjirokaster. This UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE since 2005, is a city with unique architecture that has broken all laws of architecture and urban planning, showing the culture and traditions between XIV – XIX centuries. The city is called the stone city and includes dozens of stone houses with roofs that resemble small castles with wooden balconies and wide walls, the cobbled streets and magnificent castle that rises above it.
Free time and overnight.

Day 5: Gjirokaster – Sarande

Breakfast at the hotel. The highlights of the Old Town of Gjirokaster include the Castle, its Weapons Museum and breathtaking views, the Bazaar area and the Ethnographic Museum.
After the tour of Gjirokaster, free time for lunch and departure towards the city of Sarande. Located in the southern point of the county between ancient archeological sites that are surrounded by the Ionian sea with magnificent beaches and with ideal Mediterranean climate in which are counted nearly 300 days of sunshine, Saranda is considered as the most beautiful coastal destination in the county.
Check in at the hotel and overnight.

Day 6: Sarande – Korfuz – Sarande

After breakfast at the hotel we proceed to the port of Saranda to take the ferry that will take us to Corfu, Greece. Corfu, also knows as Kerkyra, is one of the greenest islands in the Ionian sea. During our tour we will visit the New Castle and Old Castle of Corfu, the Achilion Palace ( known by many as the SISI Palace), the Church of Agios Spyridon and the Cobbled roads throughout the Old city where you will have the chance to enjoy a traditional Greek lunch.
Return to Saranda and overnight.

Day 7: Sarande – Llogara

Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning, free time in Saranda and after we will head towards the National Park of Llogara. We promise a relaxing day with beautiful nature and delicious food.
Overnight in Llogara.

Day 8: Llogara – Vlore – Apolloni – Berat

We leave Llogara to go to the beautiful coastal city of Vlore. We continue to the city center for a brief walking tour of the Independence Square, the market, museum of history and Muradie mosque.
Following Vlora we proceed to the archeological site of Apollonia. The ancient settlement of Apollonia. Founded in 585 BC, this site was dedicated to Apollo. The city achieved fame and wealth and Apollonia was incorporated into the Roman Empire to become Caesar’s stronghold during the civil war with Pompey. The most impressive feature of the site is the Bouleterion, a facade with six Corinthian columns which probably dates from the 2nd century AD.  The walking tour also includes the library, the Odeon, the Portico, the house with mosaics, the Archeological museum and the church of St. Mary.
Departure for Berat. Accommodation in the hotel and overnight.

Day 9: Berat – Rinas

Breakfast at the hotel. After the breakfast we will have time to explore the ancient fortress, main gates, towers, orthodox churches, the typical architecture of the dwelling sites bearing 2500 years of heritage and the tour of Onufri Museum, located within St Mary’s church.
Return to Tirana International Airport.
